Biography

Carrie Boom is an advanced registered nurse practitioner specializing in care before and after cardiac surgery. Her patient care philosophy is that cardiac surgery is very dynamic and is stressful for patients and their families. She strives to provide practical, useful information to patients to give them the ability to make the best decisions for themselves regarding their health care and maintenance before and after their surgery. By involving patients in every possible step of the cardiac surgery process, their sense of control is maximized and overall stress is reduced.

Carrie's personal interests include spending time with family, hiking, running, singing harmonies, listening to music, and cooking.
