Biography

Dr. Minami is a clinical associate professor of medicine and is an expert in the management of advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation. She also has an interest in the management of pulmonary hypertension. 

Dr. Minami earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and her M.D. degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine. She obtained her cardiovascular fellowship training at the University of Washington and focused her area of interest in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation. She is board certified in cardiology and advanced heart failure/cardiac transplantation. She emphasizes a patient-centered approach in managing her patients and working together with them to find balance in living with a chronic condition.

Dr. Minami's personal interests include playing piano, dancing, bicycling, cooking, and traveling. She speaks English and Japanese.
