Biography

Dr. Freeman is the director of the UW Medical Center Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Laboratory (Echocardiography and Electrocardiography) and a UW associate professor of medicine. In addition to general cardiology, she is an expert in echocardiography and management of valvular heart disease. She also serves as the director of the Cardiovascular Fellowship Training Programs and has an interest in medical education. 

Dr. Freeman earned her B.S. from the University of Michigan and her M.D. from Loyola University Chicago. She completed her residency and cardiology fellowship training at the University of Michigan. While at the University of Michigan, she completed her M.S. in clinical research and biostatistics. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is board certified in cardiovascular disease and echocardiography. Dr. Freeman's personal interests include spending time with her husband and son, hiking, and scuba diving.
