Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to

  • Understand the natural progression of cardiac atherosclerotic disease.
  • Understand the current state of cardiac CT based plaque assessment, including CAC and CCTA, and features that confer added risk.
  • Appreciate the near-future technologies that will contribute to cardiac CT based plaque assessment including quantitative CT, fat-attenuation index, and photon-counting CT.
