GRAND ROUND OBJECTIVES

  • Describe the initial bedside evaluation of heart failure
  • Predict how the recommended therapies for HF with reduced ejection fraction might change across the stages of HF.
  • Compare and contrast physiology and therapies for HF with reduced ejection fraction and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.
