Mark grew up in Redmond, WA and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame in Chemical Engineering. He then moved south for medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern and internal medicine residency training at Vanderbilt. He moved back home to work at UW as a hospitalist prior to starting fellowship. His interests include skiing, playing tennis, and all forms of board/card games.
