Zachary Steinberg, MD is a board certified Interventional and Adult Congenital Cardiologist.  Zach earned his MD from George Washington University followed by Internal Medicine training at the Oregon Health & Sciences University.  He relocated to Seattle for fellowships in Adult Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Adult Congenital Heart Disease, and Pediatric Interventional Cardiology at the University of Washington Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Zach has remained on faculty at UWMC serving as the Associate Program Director for Interventional Cardiology Fellowship between 2018 – 2020, the Program Director for Interventional Cardiology Fellowship from 2020 – 2025, and The Director of the Adult Congenital Cardiovascular Interventional Program since 2022.  He is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine and has served as the Acting Section Head of Interventional Cardiology since 2025.

Zach specializes in the care of adults born with congenital heart disease with a primary focus on transcatheter interventions, as an alternative to surgery, as a means of improving quality of life and longevity.  Additionally, he has a focus on transcatheter management of patients with chronic pulmonary embolism and created the first balloon pulmonary angioplasty program for patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension in the Northwest United states in 2018.  Zach treats every patient as an active member of decision making, spends a great deal of time on education, and emphasizes quality of life as a key component when weighing major medical interventions.
