background
From the Dominican Republic, I am Demetrio Sharp Dimitri, MD, MSc, deeply committed to the advancement of cardiology through innovative treatments for heart disease. My journey has led me to the University of Cincinnati, where I completed Internal Medicine together with an NIH-funded R-38 research year, and now to UW for a Cardiology Fellowship, where I am devoted to learning, patient care, and contributing to the field, with a focus on advanced heart failure, cardiovascular critical care, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology. Outside the hospital, my life is full of vitality, from Orange Theory workouts and running to enjoying golf, soccer, outdoor adventures, and the pleasures of wine and culinary explorations.
