The Division of Cardiology’s Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) supports the University of Washington’s commitment to research and improving heart and vascular health outcomes by offering groundbreaking treatments and novel therapies to our patients through clinical trials.

We have a wide variety of drug, device, and treatment clinical trial opportunities in Interventional Cardiology, Heart Failure, Electrophysiology, and General Cardiology.
The CTU provides end-to-end management of research studies testing new drugs, devices, and treatments, ensuring the operational infrastructure that is critical to supporting high quality, compliant, and efficient clinical trials from start-up to completion.
Our support includes:
- Feasibility & Start-Up – We work with Cardiology faculty, Sponsors, and clinical and research stakeholders to identify and implement high quality clinical trials, bringing novel and innovative new therapies to our patients.

- Federal, state, and institutional regulatory compliance
